1. The difference between circuit board engraving machine and general engraving machine.
The key equipment of circuit workstation is circuit board engraving machine. There are many similar equipment names but with different performance. A lot of people consider that the “engraving machine”which applied to advertisement 、seal、die、furniture、advertisement decoration is the same as the circuit board engraving machine which applied to electronic microwave communication field .In fact they are two processing equipments of different field.
The main difference is their machining accuracy. The former accuracy is tens of microns, while the latter is several micron or even lower. For processing materials aspect, the former is suitable for carving the materials of PVC、yakeli、wood、marble ,the latter is more suitable for making various copper clad circuit boards.
For power aspect, the former is more common. The tool types they used are also different. The former use more types of tool with large-size, the latter tools handle diameter is 1/8 of normal diameter. In addition, there are also many differences in motors and motion system control. etc that the two equipments used.
Conclusively, circuit board engraving machine is a hardware component of cnc machining center applied to the electronics manufacturing field .It with other hardware systems and CAM software system constitute together the peripheral CAM system( computer aided manufacturing) of EDA/CAD design system.

2. Essential function of circuit board engraving machine.
Location hole 、positioning pin:Double layers of PCB need engrave two sides ,manual turnover will bring serious error. Location hole and positioning pin can effectively ensure accuracy.
Drilling: Automatic prompt all the needed aperture, hole quantity and current bit diameter, choose freely its corresponding relation.
Hole-digging: User can’t buy all kinds of bit,so the hole-digging function make the milling cutter of 0.8mm dig any holes which is larger than 0.8mm.That function save a lot of bits for users.
Milling test: Draw a box according to the circuit board size for observing the depth of engraving tool.
Isolation: Carving a circle along the line which is need left , separate the lines alone.
Milling and carving: Mill off all the parts which is not need copper. Generally mill and carve after isolation finished.
Insulation width: User can mill the copper with the range 0-20mm around the line, which is convenient for welding.
Central contour milling: Completely according to the design of Keepout layer, mill along the Keepout center. Can make various special-shaped plate. Attention : Actual size of circuit board is different from drawing, users need count first.

 3. Peculiar function of HW type circuit board engraving machine.
Asymmetric location:Users need take down the copper -clad board and then set it for many times in plate making course. But they can only set copper -clad board when the direction is right ,as the asymmetric location hole. And the location hole contains the marked hole ,which is easy for users to distinguish front and back side.
Hole-digging increment:User can set some increments when dig holes , and make the aperture a bit larger for considering the effect that electroplating may take to aperture.
Intelligent milling:Choose two engraving tools at the same time, divide the circuit board automatically according to drawing, start combined milling. This method not only shortens engraving time but also improve the success rate of high precision circuit board.
Intelligent contour milling(default option) :Automatically determine the outer frame, inner frame, and internal lines,and calculate the contour milling path which ensure the actual size of circuit board is the same as drawing. Can make various special-shaped plates.
Milling at the break point:Previous engraving machine require users finish circuit board processing at one time. If close the machine at halfway, all the work did above is useless. The function of milling at the break point can continue processing from any position, user just need record current position before open computer.
Milling at power-off:Once the power is off, user can take down the circuit board and start positioning operation at any position on platform, finally set on the circuit board and continue carving.
Milling chosen at any area:Due to the copper -clad board is always unevenness, sometimes users take a lot of time to make a circuit board but finally find that there are still many coppers on it .The function of milling chosen at any area not only can adjust designated areas of deep milling renewedly for users but also choose many areas at the same time.
Processing path preview:Display all the processing path and expected processing time according to the parameters that are settled before processing. It’s easy to judge processing effect in advance for the users.
Virtual machining:Virtual display processing according to machining path, user can observe beforehand the machining sequence of all the path.
Real-time display machining path:Spindle place is displayed at the processing time, which is convenience for the judgment of users.
Plate alignment:User can draw many circuit boards in the same PCB, engrave at the same time.
Batch production:User can designate quantity and drainage ways when open the PCB file, meanwhile engrave.
Auto fixing the origin:After they setting the origin ,users can press the key “zero-return”at any position to go back . In this way, users can move the spindle arbitrarily and observe the effect when they change the tools, then go back to the origin and continue processing.
Auto shut off spindle:A very long time is needed for some bigger circuit board to finish one engraving . Once users go away, the spindle of circuit board engraving machine is always at working state and the shorter the life expectancy. HW type circuit board engraving machine can be set auto shut off spindle that the spindle will shut off automatically after operation is accomplished.
Auto shut off computer:Computer will shut off automatically after the current operation is finished.
Limit Protection:Once spindle is out of the board ,motor driver power will be cut off automatically.
Depth limit:Automatically restrict Z axis path in order to prevent spindle declining too much.
Engraving speed stepless adjustable:User can easily adjust engraving speed according to different tools.
Spindle speed adjustable: User can adjust spindle speed according to different requirements.
